Adventure No. 2
Jimminy Crickets! It’s December!
Okay, I know it’s been December for a few days now, but — criminy! — I got a lot of stuff to do this month!
I have started my holiday baking, and Spices will sing our holiday show this Friday, so those festivities are taken care of.
But before the month ends, I still have to get (or make?) gifts for some people, audition kids for the next musical, get ready for my second semester teaching and …
Oh yes, pack for my trip to the Canary Islands. *grin*
…
At the end of this month, I embark on my second trip in the year-long, grant-funded (thank you, MN State Arts Board!) vocal improv course I’m taking. We’ll be gathering at Jardin Mariposa in the Canary Islands to spend another week singing and improvising.
I am so excited. (And a little panicked. *smile*)
I can NOT wait to see all my lovely singer friends again. And with the many languages spoken in the group, communicating in person is so much more satisfying.
The topic of this second session is sound, singing and healing. We plan to explore the ways in which we can use singing to help nourish, repair, connect and sustain ourselves. (So up my alley!)
(Now, if I can just figure out what to pack. *smile*)
