“The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain,
the sound of wind in a primeval wood,
and the sound of outer ocean on a beach.”

Singing in Puerto de la Cruz

Posted by on Jan 23 2011 | Listening, Sarah Sings, Songtaneous

Here is a short(ish) excerpt of the 2 hour singing circle we held in Puerto de la Cruz on New Year’s day. I picked the part where I solo because — hey — it’ s my blog. *grin*

Midway through, I invite Alessandro (Switzerland) to join me. We’re replaced by Johanna (Germany). Right before this video ends, Rhiannon moves back to the center to move us into the next transition, which isn’t shown here.

(If you’ve got time, you can find the remaining 3 videos on youtube. *smile*).

Food for Thought (#77)

“Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.”
– H. Jackson Browne

Yep. Here’s my subtle way of reminding you that the fundraiser for “my kids” is tonight; 7:00 pm at Rushford Hall in Northeast (for those of you in the Cities.)

We’re raising money to put on the musical Alice In Wonderland in March. If you can make it — great! — tickets are $25 at the door.

If you can’t make it, you could always send a donation to the school. *smile*

(A big thanks to those of you who already asked me about mailing donations.)

“For it is in giving that we receive.”
– St. Francis of Assisi
